Every family, every classroom, every friendship has helped shape MVM. As we look ahead to our 25th anniversary, we’re bringing together the stories of the people who have made this school a community. Whether you were here at the beginning or have just found your place here, you’re part of our story.
Explore our shared history
Small keepsakes. A shared history.
Our history lives in photographs, handwritten notes, and the memories we carry. We’re beginning to gather these pieces for our 25th anniversary. Here’s a look at where the project starts.

We’re working to gather past yearbooks and reconnect with former families. Help us remember the classmates, teachers, and friendships that made your years at MVM special.
Among the keepsakes is the original certificate welcoming MVM to Frederick, signed by Mayor Jennifer Dougherty—a piece of our school’s beginnings.
Newspaper clippings, old photographs, and memorabilia saved in Principal Nancy’s office are a starting point for discovering and preserving our shared history.
Coming soon · Alumni & family connections
Former students, parents, caregivers, and staff: we’d love to reconnect. A way to join the anniversary and alumni network will be added here as the project takes shape.

Looking ahead, together
MVMPCS is a small, intimate, and democratic learning community where children learn actively, think critically, and solve problems creatively. Students’ innate desire to learn is fostered using the Montessori approach: a prepared environment, hands-on materials, mixed-age classes, and self-directed learning. Students are empowered to become responsible, confident, caring citizens who possess strong academic skills and an enduring love of learning.
