Admission to Monocacy Valley Montessori Public Charter School (MVMPCS) is determined from the results of a lottery held annually in March. FCPS charter regulations (Policy 440) and Maryland state law (SB 595) govern the lottery and acceptance process.
Enrollment must be done through the lottery. After the lottery is drawn and initial placements are completed, the lottery software opens back up and parents can register children at the end of the queue for each grade level and will be put at the end of the waitlist. Spots will be offered if seats are available.
