Monocacy Montessori Communities, Inc. is proud to announce its purchase of the 64 Thomas Johnson Drive, which will house Monocacy Valley Montessori Public Charter School's 360 public school students, beginning with the 2023-2024 school year.
The school, currently located at 217 Dill Ave., in Frederick is hard at work packing and preparing for the move.
"We are desperate for additional volunteers to help us with moving tomorrow, Wednesday, July 12." - Elizabeth Landru, MMCI Vice President for MVM.
Purchasing the facility was the first major hurdle of this endeavor, Elizabeth explained, but actually moving an entire school on volunteer power alone is a challenge unique to a school like MVM, with limited resources. "We are so grateful to our amazing parents/guardians, students, and staff who have been hard at work packing up the school over the past several weeks."
Anyone who volunteers on Wednesday 7/12 for at least one hour will receive a ticket to tour the new building this Saturday 7/15!!!!!
