Events and Short-Term Commitments
We always have a variety of volunteer needs that require shorter-term commitments. These are the rolling up our sleeves, pitching in kinds of tasks. Check out some of our current openings and opportunities below!We are looking for a handful of volunteers who are able to lead small group in-person School Tours to families whose children have been selected via the Lottery to attend MVMPCS next year. These tours are generally held during school hours.

Our Hospitality Team is looking to add members who can help plan and execute meals and/or other events for Teacher Appreciation Week, May 2-6, 2022.

Who loves a book fair?! We are all very excited about our upcoming Curiosity Fair with Curious Iguana and Dancing Bear, from April 1-14, 2022. Sign up to help with the fair on our Sign Up Genius (link to be posted soon).

Due to the popularity of our Winter SpiritWear Sale, we have scheduled a Spring sale, which will run from April 25 through May 6.
We are looking for volunteers to plan and coordinate the sale, and promote it via email and social media, as well as volunteers to receive, sort, and distribute SpiritWear items when they arrive in late May.

Volunteering is adventurous! We are looking for volunteers to promote our "Community Day In the Trees" event via email and social media, and to serve as greeters at the pavilion throughout the afternoon on Friday May 6, 2022.

We are getting ready for a special event - a traditional MVM Potluck Picnic at the Park on Wednesday June 1, 2022! We need volunteers to create a sign up genius, set up and clean up, serve food, and monitor supplies throughout the event.

All hands on deck (blacktop, gardens, mulch, etc.) for a Spring Building and Grounds Work Week, March 28 through April 1 from 9:15-11:15am. Bring your own gloves, clippers, etc. Most of the work will be completed outside of our building.

We are looking for volunteers to help maintain our grounds throughout the summer months. These are typically brief, weekly commitments for weeding and garden maintenance, and are mostly outdoors.

Library Volunteers are needed for morning shifts throughout the school year! Library Volunteers staff the library during school hours, and help with inventory and shelving books.

Parent volunteers are needed every morning during carline, from 8:30-9am on BOTH Evergreen Place and Dill Avenue. Please drop in as available for this very important role, or if you can, please make a longer-term commitment. This is a great way to get your volunteer hours in!
It is important that we have enough parent volunteers every morning, so that our students are able to enter the building safely, and our staff is able to focus on preparing for the day.

We are looking for Volunteer Committee members, as well as a committee chair, to help with volunteer recruitment efforts throughout the School Year, as well as help plan and run Volunteer Events.

We are looking for parent volunteers who want to be involved with our Middle School Yearbook Club: Yearbook page editing, photography, and collecting photos from staff and families. Most tasks can be done as needed/ at home. Please let us know if you're able to help out!
